A Slack Hand and Diligence

Proverbs 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
It is not God’s intention to be mean to any certain group of people upon the face of the earth, but to correct them in order to bless, and the best way to help someone is to be honest with them.  The reason that many, not all, are poor is because they dealeth with a slack hand.  A slack hand is a hand that is negligent, slothful, and deceitful.  A person with a slack hand lets opportunities for improvement and success to pass by.  This is negligence.  These know that it is time to work, but will not wake to work.  This is slothfulness.  The ones with a slack hand lie and make excuses why it cannot be done; this is deceit and Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth itnot, to him it is sin.  James 4:17  The time has come for us to grow up.  We have been pampered and babied far too long.  There is not an ounce of faith in a slack hand and faith is what pleases the Lord. The Word of God has the answers to everything in life. There is a reason that many of the poor are poor and the answer is found above.  Too many, far too many have been deceived into believing that they have a certain condition of the mind or body and that they are unable or unfit for work.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  It is exactly work that is needed to keep the mind stable, ready, and fit.  Too many have been misdiagnosed and instead of prescribing a hard days work in the sunshine as the remedy, pills have been prescribed which only keep the “patient” indoors, inactive, and inebriated.  Activity gives you energy; inactivity steals energy away from you.  Labor increases the strength of the mind and body, but idleness has driven many mad and to sickness.
So in the verse above there are two hands described; the slack and the diligent.  The hand of the diligent seizes opportunities while the hand of the slack neglects them.  The destiny of the diligent is prosperity but the destiny of the slack is ruin.  Now guess who it is that decides whether or not you are prosperous or poor?  Not who is rich and poor; but prosperous and poor.  Yup, it is YOU.   So please don’t get mad at those that have some nice things in life.  After all, they are only following the Godly principle of DILIGENCE.
