The Eyes of the Lord

1 Peter 3:12-13 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
The Lord watches His people. He is not blind; there are no obstacles that can prevent Him from seeing all of us. He sees one as he heads north to go to work in the morning, and he sees another as he heads south to go on vacation. The eyes of the Lord are upon the whole earth. He has perfect vision and will not ever need glasses. He sees the hardships that you are going through, He sees the affliction that you suffer, He sees the temptations that are offered you, and He sees the struggles that you are enduring. He cares, and can help you; He will help you, if you will ask Him. Be comforted that you’re not alone and that the Lord sees you.
He is not a shepherd that sleeps. Humans need sleep, but God never does. He is not a shepherd that is distracted. His one main focus is His people. He is not a shepherd that grows weary. His strength never fails; it is when ours does that we see His great power. He is not a shepherd that is deaf. He never grows weary of our prayers, he never grows weary of our requests, in fact He rejoices to hear from us, as parents do their children when they grow old. He does not complain when we come to Him with the impossible, but rejoices that we have the faith to believe that He can do the impossible. The Lord is not far away from the righteous; as He is the wicked, but near. So nearby that He sees and hears all of us.
