Loving God begins in the heart, with a personal relationship with Him. As we gather and participate in Christ-honoring worship services and respond to the preaching of God’s Word, this love flourishes. Mark 12:30 says, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”
We grow together, in Christ, through the study of God’s Word. This occurs in our weekly services, our community outreach, and in one-on-one discipleship. Sharing our growth and our trials together is what bonds us and strengthens us as a church body. We have all made mistakes and having the freedom to be transparent in a church body is what we feel makes us different from other churches.
We serve others as we find a place of ministry in the local body. We also serve by sharing the Gospel with those who need the Lord—through witnessing to friends, coworkers, neighbors, and loved ones, as well as in participating in church outreach and giving to missions.
As a church, our mission is to reach the world with the Gospel of Christ. We want to utilize every available biblical means, and we want to disciple and train every member to participate in accomplishing our church’s purpose.
What to Expect
Here at Bethel Baptist Church, you will meet friendly people who have come to worship the Lord. Visitors are always welcome to attend any of our services or activities. Our Services are a little over an hour long depending on special music, prayer or visiting missionaries who like to show photos of their work. The best way to get to know people at Bethel Baptist Church is to attend morning Sunday school classes or fellowship events after services.
What Should I Wear?
We do not have a dress code here at Bethel Baptist Church. The Word of God tells us that man looketh on the outward appearance but the Lord looketh upon the heart. You will be welcome no matter what you wear, but typically you will find folks dressed in their “Sunday best”, whatever that may be.
Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?
No. We don't invite you to Bethel Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
Where do I Take my Kids?
Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under.
Children four years old through sixth grade enjoy fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes on Sunday mornings. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. Wednesday’s 7pm Kings kids club is a wonderful program that teaches character, scripture memorization, and how to serve others.
Our Teen group meets at 9:45 on Sunday mornings and has periodic activities throughout the month to get together and fellowship and have good, clean fun. Teens attend Pensacola Teen Extreme Camp in Florida each year.
The Bible is an extremely powerful book. It has answers and practical applications for any situation you might be facing, and at Bethel Baptist Church, it is our desire to help you apply Bible truths to your everyday life. Some of the best and most helpful counseling you can receive is from Pastor Kaiser’s weekly preaching services. From these messages you will learn what the Bible says, why it's important, and how to apply it to your life.
If you live in the Jefferson County area and have a specific need that you would like to speak to the pastor about, we would love to hear from you and schedule a time to meet your needs. Pastor Kaiser gives biblical principles for marriage, family, finances, and other spiritual needs. You can email us, or call the church offices at 636.948.4648.
